The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is a voluntary strength-based parent education program which is delivered through education and support, parent support groups, and the ability to link parents to appropriate referrals and resources. Program eligibility is offered to all service members, family members who are expectant parents, and parents of children from birth to five years of age.
Even if you have been raising your family for a few years, challenges may arise as your child grows and develops. The NPSP offers you the opportunity to express your concerns, ask questions, enhance parent child relationships and parenting techniques, build skills, set goals, and gain new knowledge. Please contact us for more information at (703) 784-4248.

Post-Partum Support International
The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and
professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience
during pregnancy and postpartum. Approximately 15% of all women will
experience postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Up to 10%
will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. When the mental
health of the mother is compromised, it affects the entire family.

Home Visitation
What is Home Visitation?
The New Parent Support Program Home Visitors are Licensed Clinicians, Licensed Social Workers and/or Licensed Marriage Family Therapists. The purpose of home visits is to provide individualized parenting education and support to parents of young children up to age six and to help parents increase their parenting skills so that they are successful parenting their children throughout each stage of development. Home visits take place in the family's home. The frequency of the visits range from once a week to once a month depending on your family's needs and interests.
Home Visitors provide education on a variety of topics to include, but not limited to: age appropriate discipline, developmental screenings, managing sibling rivalry, effective communication with your children, stress management, toilet training, nutrition, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and deployment issues.
Some people receive parenting education, while others request support and encouragement regarding the challenges of parenting.
