The Single Marine Program (SMP) functions to support single Marines’ leisure interests and Quality of Life (QOL) concerns. SMP serves as the voice for single Marines in identifying concerns, developing initiatives, and providing recommendations through advocacy, recreational activities, special events, and community involvement.

ABOUT US

The goal of the Single Marine Program is to improve the quality of life for single Marines and Sailors. In 1993, a study was conducted which revealed that single Marines were dissatisfied with their overall quality of life and leisure activities that were available to them. As a result, the Single Marine Program was implemented and serves as a form of support to help enhance job performance, personal readiness, and retention. While the focus is on the young, single enlisted Marine or Sailor, geographical bachelors, single parents, and single officers are also welcome. The Single Marine Program also provides a forum which actively engages Marines and provides them with an opportunity to be heard and discuss new ideas, as well as recommend changes and identify quality of life issues. Activities and events are as varied as the Marines and Sailors that we serve. Volunteer and community service opportunities are also available through this program to fulfill promotion requirements and encourage community involvement. These opportunities are also open to all eligible patrons. Volunteers are needed for a variety of events throughout the year.
