The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary resource that is designed to address child abuse and domestic abuse within the Marine Corps community through prevention, intervention, and treatment. For immediate assistance, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233) provides lifesaving tools and support to enable victims to find safety and live lives free of abuse.
Mission:
The mission of the Quantico Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is to promote healthy military family development through the prevention, identification, and treatment of intimate partner violence and child abuse and neglect. As well as assisting commands in support of the involved service members and families. FAP stresses early intervention and education to protect victims and increase family competencies.
Clinical Services
FAP works with all members of the family to include children and ensures all services are individualized. Services include assessments; individual, couples, families and group counselling; prevention and education classes; support for new parents; trauma informed interventions such as Combat and Operational Stress First Aid education; and 24/7 victim advocacy services.
