Relocation Assistance
Address: 3019 Embry Loop, Quantico, VA 22134
Loan Locker
This program allows service members, family members, and DoD civilians to borrow basic household items for a period of up to thirty days while they await the arrival of their household goods. This service is free and available for both inbound and outbound personnel assigned to MCB Quantico and the surrounding military installations. You must provide the Relocation Office with a copy of your PCS orders and a valid active duty military, family member, or DoD civilian identification card.
Individual Relocation Plan
The key to your successful relocation is planning. Take charge of your PCS move with Plan My Move. Plan My Move provides you with access to information about your entitlements and benefits, to points of contact, checklists, planning tools, and information on education and employment. Plan My Move will put you and your family in charge of a smooth relocation to your new duty assignment. Click here to begin your relocation planning or for more information about Plan My Move.
Sponsorship
First time PCSing? Going overseas or to a special duty? If so, you will want a sponsor. A sponsor is a Marine from your new duty station, who will be assigned to you to assist with preparing you (and your family) ready for your new duty assignment and to assist you with settling in upon arrival at your new duty station. A sponsor is normally a Marine of equal rank, with the same family status from your gaining command. A sponsor adds that personal touch while providing you with “boots on the ground” information about your new duty assignment and new unit. They will be your POC as you prepare to arrive to your gaining command. Click here for a Sponsorship Request Form then, turn it in to your Unit Sponsorship Coordinator (USC) or email the form to the Marine Corps Base Quantico Information and Referral office at mccsquanticoppdregistration@usmc.mil.
PCS Conus or OConus Workshops (Smooth Move)
Per MCO 1754.10B, attendance at a PCS workshop is mandatory for Marines of all ranks, who are executing a PCS move. School-Age Care
Address: 3312 Purvis Rd, Quantico, VA 22134
Phone: 7037842249
The MCCS SAC Program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA). The program instills a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and competence by providing young people with caring and fun age appropriate, well-rounded programming. The Youth Center is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and focus on the core areas of Character & Leadership, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts, Sports/Fitness/Recreation, and Technology.
SAC provides care for children ages Kindergarten-12 years of age and provides transportation to and from Base schools (Crossroads Elementary and Quantico Middle/High School). If requesting Before/After care for your child(ren) and they do not attend a Base school, parents/guardians are responsible for providing transportation to and from SAC and school. All drop-off and pick-up times will be based on Base schools schedules. Surrounding county schools may not coincide with Base Schools for “No School Days” and Breaks, therefore we would not be able to provide care to their children.
Registration: All childcare offers are made through the MilitaryChildCare.com website. Families must create an account online to submit requests for childcare. A CYP Resource and Referral (R&R) Office representative is located at CDC South and can answer all questions regarding CYP programs, the MilitaryChildCare.com website and the registration process. Resource and Referral can be reached at 703.784.0674/4453.
Child Development Centers: (CDCs) serve children 6 weeks thru 5 years of age (prekindergarten). The early years lay the foundation for all later learning in life. Curriculum goals and plans are based on regular, documented observations and assessments of each child’s level of development, strengths and interests while respecting family values. Lesson plans are posted in each child’s classroom and are readily available on-site for parents to see. Both CDCs are accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our program is center-based, child initiated, and teacher supported, with an emphasis on active participation through individual and small group learning experiences.
Environmental accommodations, materials, and equipment are adjusted to support and maximize learning opportunities. Multi-cultural and non-sexist materials and experiences are available for children of all ages. It has long been known that children’s learning is the most meaningful when their play is self-directed. CDC classroom staff offer activity centers/learning areas that allow children the opportunity to explore, create, imagine, and experience their environment. Staff is readily available to facilitate learning and provide nurturing encouragement to each child. Each activity is designed with a goal that promotes further development and prepares your child for the next level of learning.
Family Child Care: Family Child Care (FCC) providers are military spouses that are licensed by the Base Commander to care for children in government quarters. They complete the same program training as center-based care givers. Homes are inspected regularly and complete ongoing training monthly. FCC Providers offer activity centers/learning areas that allow children the opportunity to explore, create, imagine, and experience their environment. Providers are readily available to facilitate learning and provide nurturing encouragement to each child. Each activity is designed with a goal that promotes further development and prepares your child for the next level of learning. FCC Director – 703.784.2011
Extended Hours: Extended hours are from 0500-0600 and 1800-1900 and are available when reserved one week in advance for Active Duty patrons only. The cost is the hourly care rate per child.
Special Events Care: Units aboard MCB Quantico may request childcare services for special events. Contact CYP Administration office for more information, 703.784.3760.
Parent Orientation: Families receive a welcome orientation specific to their child’s program. This is the opportunity for parents to share information about their child to help ensure a positive start. The orientation covers policy and instructions to help make your family’s transition to CYP smooth. It is necessary and mandatory to attend an orientation prior to your child’s start date.
Resource & Referral: The Resource and Referral (R&R) Office provides childcare information, referrals, and assistance in locating appropriate, affordable, and accessible childcare for military personnel and DoD employees. R&R can provide resources for community-based childcare.
An R&R representative is located at CDC South, 703.784.0674/4453.

Victim Advocacy:
Victim Advocates provide information, guidance, and support to victims. They are specially trained to respond to incidents of domestic violence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Victim Advocates provide emotional support; advise victims of their rights, explore resources and service in both civilian and military communities, and accompany and support victims through medical and legal proceedings.
Adult victims of domestic violence have two reporting options: Unrestricted and Restricted.
Unrestricted Reporting allows victims to pursue an official investigation of an incident.
Restricted Reporting allows adult victims to receive help without requiring notifications to law enforcement or command. There are some limits to restricted reporting which can be explained by the victim advocate.
Transitional Compensation:
If you or someone in your family has been abused, Transitional Compensation can help you start a new life. This program provides 12-36 months of financial compensation and military ID card benefits and privileges to families of service members separated for domestic violence. Youth Sports is a skill based program open to children ages 4-14. Rather than focusing on competition, which is an inherit part of sports, children are provided the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a sport, in addition to good sportsmanship and the benefits of teamwork. Try outs are not required, as all skill levels are welcome to participate. All players are also offered equal playing time during games. Opportunities can include team sports, skill development clinics and sports specific camps. All coaches are volunteers and certified through the National Alliance for Youth Sports and have an extensive background check before working with the children. Coaches are always needed in our program and training is provided to those interested. Please contact your local Youth Sports office to learn more.
Semper Fit Youth Sports activities are open to all dependents of active duty, military reservists, retired military, and DOD employed civilians associated with MCAS Quantico, ages 4-14 unless specified otherwise.
