The FMEAP provides assistance and referrals for active-duty family members who are seeking employment, career counseling, and personal career goal assistance. FMEAP assists military spouses and family members in exploring employment options and preparing them to pursue opportunities in their chosen career fields. The program assists clients in establishing career goals and enhancing job search skills. FMEAP offers access to a resource library, computer lab with internet access, and copy machine.

Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP): A DoD program that connects corporate America with the talented pool of military spouses.

My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship Program: A workforce development program that provides up to $4,000.00 of financial assistance to eligible military spouses for the pursuit or maintenance of license, certification, or associate degree necessary to gain employment in an occupation or career field. Military spouses may use their scholarship at any approved institution to receive assistance with the costs of national tests for course credits required for a degree approved under the program (including the College Level Examination Program tests).    Spouses of service members on active duty in pay grades E-1 to E-6, W-1 to W-2 and   O-1 to O-3 who have successfully completed high school.  MyCAA does not pay for books, supplies, testing fees, entrance exams, prep courses, uniforms, or private licenses.

Spouse Reimbursement for State Licensure and Certification Costs:   A Marine may be reimbursed up to 500 dollars for qualifying relicensing/recertification costs of their spouse when the following criteria are met:

  • The PCS movement of the Marine’s dependents was authorized.
  • The spouse obtained the same relicense/recertification for the same profession at the previous duty station, in the new State.

Completion of relicense/recertification was successful.
