Commanders Welcome Aboard Brief

This brief provides information to newly arriving active duty service members, family members and civilian personnel on the various agencies and services available aboard MCB Quantico. Attendance for all active duty personnel is mandatory. Family members and DoD Civilians are highly encouraged to attend. No pre-registration is required to attend.

Welcome Aboard Packets contain valuable relocation information for inbound Marines. Maps that cannot be found electronically in militaryonesource.mil are included in the "hard copy" packets. Electronic Welcome Aboard Packets are also available upon request. Click here for request form.

The Welcome Aboard Brief is held from 1000 to 1130.

Sponsorship Training

During this workshop participants will learn what it means to be a sponsor, how to implement and facilitate a sponsorship program within your unit, and the invaluable assistance sponsorship provides to military members and their families. Spouses assisting with an accompanied tour sponsorship are also encouraged to attend.

NOTE: SPONSORSHIP TRAINING IS MANDATORY IN ACCORDANCE WITH MCO P1320.11F. ALL ASSIGNED MILITARY SPONSORS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND.

Class is scheduled each month and is also available to requesting units. Sessions are held at the Religious and Family Services Annex, 3019 Embry Loop, 0900-1100:

PCS CONUS Workshop

This class offers basic administrative, financial, shipping, employment, and sponsorship information for service members, family members, and DoD Civilians transferring to duty stations within the United States (not including Alaska and Hawaii).
Attendance is mandatory for pay grades E-1 – E-6; WO-1 – CWO-2; and O-1 – O-3.

PCS Overseas Workshop

This workshop offers in depth information on administration, financial, shipping travel, medical screening, employment, EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program) passports and sponsorship entitlements when executing permanent change of station orders to an overseas duty assignment, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Attendance is mandatory for all overseas personnel per MCBO 1320-4B.
